SPRINGFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT

Springfield Township, Delaware County, PA is located about 12 miles west of Center City, Philadelphia and has a population of approximately 24,000. Covering 6.5 square miles, Springfield is mainly residential but boasts one of the major hubs of commerce in Delaware County along the Golden Mile of Baltimore Pk. 
Springfield Township Police Department currently employs 31 full-time sworn officers, 1 full-time civilian Information Assistants, 3 full-time Records division clerks, 12 part-time civilian Turn-Keys, and approximately 30 crossing guards.

Emergency calls for service are taken by Delaware County Emergency Communications Center who then dispatch police.
